If the majority of the invasive species are removed, will the Park be bare and possibly flood even worse?

AMPC, in conjunction with Trees Atlanta and the City of Atlanta, will be replanting the areas where invasive species have been removed with plants that are native to our environment.  The goal is to restore Memorial Park’s forest to bring it back to its optimal health.  Notably, the Atlanta Audubon Society has been an outspoken supporter of removing invasive species and planting native species which support healthy bird habitats.
